Carpenters- Commercial/Retail/Restaurant

Job Summary:

General Contractor is seeking carpenters with expertise in commercial  restarurant and retail construction sites

Compensation:

Negotiable
Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in commercial office, retail and restaurants and has worked in various commercial settings
• Must posses own tools and transportation
• Ability to work in an OPEN remodel environments while maintaining good relationship with client
• Applicant must pay attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment 
• Strong understanding of retail tenant improvement
• Ability to read  and  interpret  blueprints and specifications
• Responsible for layout in accordance with all project requirements 
• Understand technology as required onsite
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and how to maintain a safety program on all projects
• Excellent  leadership  and communication skills
• Must be enthusiastic, professional and have the ability to adapt to change

     Driving & Travel Requirements:

• Must maintain  a valid  driver's license and  automobile  insurance on their work vehicle
• Must have own transportation to work
• Candidates should be flexible on work times, locations and schedules
• Able and willing to travel and work nights and weekends

Traveling Commercial IRetail Construction SUPERINTENDENTS.

 

Job Summary:

 

Superintendents are responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site management.

Superintendents serve as the point person on each jobsite, working in conjunction with Project Managers

 

    ​  Qualifications:

·         Strong understanding of retail tenant improvement

·         Strong management and scheduling skills

·         Ability to read  and  interpret  blueprints and specifications

·         Understand subcontractor responsibilities

·         Understand technology as required onsite

·         Knowledge of OSHA standards and how to maintain a safety program on all projects

·         Excellent  leadership  and communication skills

·         Must be enthusiastic, professional and have the ability to adapt to changes

 

Driving & Travel Requirements:

Computer Skills:

·         Intermediate knowledge of computer required

·         Must be comfortable sending emails, attaching documents to emails, etc.

·         Ability to upload and send progress photos weekly

·         Draft and manage project schedules

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·         Directs the activities of subcontractors and client vendors

·         Maintain schedules, complete daily work reports, do weekly two week outlook

·         Interact with on-site and client personnel

·         Coordinate inspections and local authorities

·         Deliver a quality and on time project

 

Employment Requirements:

Minimum  of 5 years’ experience in commercial  fast track construction

Proven track record  of running successful  projects

OSHA training

Construction Superintendent - New York City

 

 

Job Summary:

 

General Contractor is seeking Construction Superintendent with expertise in supervising commercial and construction sites, coordinating trades, supervising subcontractors, ordering building materials, participating in job-site coordination meetings with the architect and owner.

 

      Qualifications: 

·         A well rounded manager, with proven project management experience in retail and restaurants and has worked in NYC

·         Ability to work in an OPEN remodel environments while maintaining good relationship with client

·         Have a NYC superintendent license

·         Applicant must be successful, pay attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

·         The individual must have excellent client relation skills and will be asked to attend project meetings

·         Understanding of drawings/specifications and strong computer skills are required

·         Participate in owner/contractor, coordination, lead team, subcontractor, staff, scheduling and kickoff meetings

·         Implement and maintain a project site specific safety program for staff and all subcontractors on, OSHA requirements, local, state, and federal law

·         Knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements and manage OSHA site visits

·         Participate and establish issuance of weekly minutes of meeting and monthly progress reports

·         Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contracts with Owner, subcontractor scope of works, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of shop drawings and approved stamped set of architects drawings

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understands specifications. Participate in the update of architectural/MEP/etc. drawings

·         Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries and the management of material and document submittals/approvals

·         Responsible for the layout and field engineering in accordance with all project requirements

·         Manage the coordination of daily construction activities within existing operating facilities

·         Experience in Fast Track Retail & Commercial Construction

·         Has been superintendent on NYC commercial projects ranging from $100K- $10million

 

Driving & Travel Requirements:

·         5-7 years of experience

·         Able and willing to travel and occasionally work nights and weekends
